VATI 2

VATI 2 – Determining factors for a high quality of life and independent living in old age through the use of technical aids (10/2017 - 12/2019)

Brief description of content

Using the database created in the first part of the VATI research project, Part 2 evaluates the available information to gain insights into the field of research on ageing and technology. Against the backdrop of demographic developments that are significantly more advanced in some regions than others in Germany, a contribution is made to overcoming the resulting social challenges. The focus on technological support in everyday life and in the home environment aims to tap into the potential for maintaining a high quality of life, independence and self-determination for older people. The focus is on the further, multivariate evaluation of VATI data with the aim of determining key determinants of quality of life and independent living in old age through the use of technical aids. The knowledge gained is deepened through the targeted use of qualitative focus group interviews.
