  • From 09/2018 to 12/2021 Visiting scholar at the University of Sheffield in the project “Sustainable Care—connecting people and systems.” Work package 2 entitled “Combining work and care: workplace support and its contribution to sustainable care arrangements” active. Development of a tool (questionnaire and interview guide) for surveying companies. The survey is currently taking place and data will be compared during the course of the project. Cooperative doctoral program with Dortmund Technical University and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences on the topic: “The compatibility of caregiving and work in SMEs from a corporate perspective.”

Since September 30, 2020, member of the executive committee of the German Red Cross (DRK) district association Görlitz Stadt und Land e.V..
Katja Knauthe advises on gender equality policy and gerontological development tasks. More information is available on the DRK website here.

In June 2022, Katja Knauthe was also appointed convention officer of the DRK Kreisverband Görlitz Stadt und Land e.V. by the members of the executive committee.
