On Thursday, October 2, 2025 , from 1:10 a.m. to 1:55 a.m. MDR will broadcast the documentary Wut. Jetzt fahren wir in den Westen (Anger. Now we're heading west) by Matthias Schmidt. The film reverses the usual perspective and looks at the West from an East German point of view. Prof. Raj Kollmorgen scientifically classifies social tensions and perceptions between East and West and explains how historical experiences and social inequalities continue to shape mutual understanding to this day. The documentary invites viewers to question familiar narratives about German unity and is also available in the ARD Mediathek.
